Today I brought in my little kitten to Petco just to refill his litter tub, and ended up chatting with the girl working asking for her opinion on something. She was so nice and knowledgeable, that we started talking about what had just previously happened the stop before Petco. My experience at The Groomers Station I brought him right before Petco. You can read below what happened. I was only in Petco for the litter and a toy. After telling her what just happened she told me that they had a groomer there. She said she just left but would be back soon if I would like to try having her do it. She talked very highly of the groomer (Jamie). When Jamie got back we talked about what had happened and she also felt so bad. She told me she could definitely try trimming his nails and that if an animal is in distress they will stop. She also had a helper with her as well. She was so reassuring. So she took my little baby to do his nails and there was definitely struggle, but I know he was so traumatized by what happened previously. It honestly broke my heart. Jamie and her assistant we're AMAZING. I watched them take care of him and would stop and pet him and were so good to take breaks and being nice to him. I was so happy and appreciative after what we experienced. Then after they were done we gave him lots of treats and they even gave him a toy! It was so cute. I was so happy with this Petco!! I would so reccomend to anyone! So very thankful for both of these wonderful animal lovers after how we were treated at the groomers!
I brought my little kitten in and someone went into the grooming rooms and asked if anyone wanted to do a cat nail trim. I didn't hear any yesses and heard grumbling. I should have left just then since I was bringing in my business and money, but didn't think much of it right away. Just a bad first impression. I bring my kitty over to the girl who was going to trim his nails and she opened his crate, and usually he takes a minute to come out especially in a new area there are a lot of smells and he just wants to sniff things out first. Instead of waiting any time at all she continued to tip his crate upside down to try and get him to come out. And at that point he was not going to come out he was so scared. Finally I got him out myself with a treat. I warned her that he likes to bite a little since he is still a kitten. And from the other side of the room a lady yelled that she better put a muzzle on him. Well she went to go get it and tried to put it on but it only made my kitten more frustrated. I offered to hold him for her so she could do his nails, and I did. The same lady who was yelling from across the room said someone needed to hold him and make sure that they are holding his neck. So I did. She immediately ran over and continued to yell which just escalated my kittens fear, and I felt so bad.. she then came over and grabbed him by his scruff while I was holding him and started yelling at him and at me. I never heard worse sounds come from my little kitten who doesn't even meow or hiss ever! Then she told me that I could leave because they are not going to risk a trip to the hospital for him biting them. I was not mad to bring my business somewhere else. And my poor kitten was traumatized by that experience. I would never reccomend anyone to take their animal to someone who doesnt find joy in working with your furry friend, and there was no sign of joy from the people in that place. So please, do not take your beloved friend to this place!
Horrible customer service !! I have never gone into a petco and felt so unwelcomed !! They need a lot of help all I got was attitude from the cashier and no help while waiting over 20 mins to get crickets! As well as being ignored when you try and ask the front counter for help! Not okay I WILL NEVER STEP FOOT IN HERE AGAIN!
This place was amazing. John was very very helpful. I love this place better. I willl make the trip to this one even though i have one closer. Very wonderful
