I had a hitch and wiring installed, that night well I was out it got dark well I was out and turned on my lights. My running lights kept blowing the fuse, Tried 3 times. I cut the harness they installed and the lights worked. The next morning I sent an email to the person I was given as a point of contact. I got an email back 3 days later and I was fine with that. The lights worked on the car at this point. In the emails they told me "If there was an issue with the electrical install on your van, we would have gladly reviewed and repaired it as your install covers you for a 30 day period.
Being you decided to trouble shoot and repair it yourself and we were not given that opportunity, we would not issue a refund for the parts and labor we installed." So was I to just drive around with no lights on? I just want to be refunded for the $45 for the lights. Now I am seeking a charge back. Will not ever go back.
Employee wouldn't let me rent a trailer because the lights didn't work. He insisted it was my car not the trailer. I asked to try another trailer he declined and told me he couldn't let me rent a trailer.
HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! Since you either strong arm someone into buying an insurance protection coverage, or threaten the customer by stating uhaul will take the damage costs "right out of your account," ... then, you are told to inspect the unit (in our case trailer), and where all the little "Xs" are, that is previous damage by a previous customer.... and you won't be charged for where the little Xs are...So, that means that either the previous customer was insured and insurance paid for the damages, or uhaul "took the money right out of your account" and that pays for the damage... okay.. then my question is: WHY ARE THERE STILL LITTLE Xs all over the unit? Why wasn't the damaged parts repaired? Where did all that money go to from either the insurance or the customer?
I went to the store and bought a tester my car works properly.
If you took the time to read the bad reviews I would honestly try another location or another company. I know I would have, I didn't realize they had (Blaine location) so many bad reviews and for the same person/manager/Lucy. I have rented from this location multiple times and it's always a super big hassle, long lines, wait times, no parking, crabby, lazy, unhappy customer service reps. The equipment itself is great and always good working order... If they ever let you rent it. Today was the last straw though. I was working with another representive and another person (Lucy the manager) started giving me the Spanish inquisition about what I was towing. I've towed the same kind of car with my truck with them before and she (Lucy) kept making up more and more rules about why I couldn't rent a tow dolly from them. She was rude, condescending, and could care less about my situation. Reading all the other bad reviews I don't know why I put up with this for so long. I will be bringing my business elsewhere from now on. Also their mileage rates are horrible anyways compared to other places. Please make sure that even if you do go you read the fine print on all the other charges they have for you! 3 stars out of five for 75 reviews and counting and usually the bad ones say Lucy... Good luck!
Excellent and supportive staff - they have been very helpful in making sure I had everything I need, and helping me get it in the cheapest possible way. I had an excellent experience at this location. I use the storage units and rented several trucks here. Nothing but good things to say about the staff and the facility.
Pictures show all the little Xs that were not previously repaired.
